Just in time for the coming into effect of the changes made to the second caretaking reinforcement act (PSG II) on January 1, 2017, Barmenia Krankenversicherung strengthened their digitalization strategy through caretaking components from the service billing system in|sure Health Claims from adesso insurance solutions GmbH.
The in|sure Health Claims software solution permits the automated processing of all service times from the integrated legal caretaking rates for private health insurance members who are insured completely and with aid. For example, care allowance including half care allowance, short-term and respite care including transitions into the respectively available service types. The vested rights protection that came into effect in the beginning of 2017 will also be considered. This reduces the complexity of billing care services and the time needed for billing will be reduced significantly. Long-term projects for care allowance, inpatient services, house emergency call systems, care equipment and outpatient living groups.
In the cooperation between Barmenia and adesso insurance solutions, the integration of in|sure Health Claims into the existing system landscape was implemented during a six-month project. Project director Kolja Dütsch from adesso insurance solutions regarding this: “It really impressed me how the employees from both companies made this ambitious project successful together. In addition to the project team, the open design of in|sure Health Claims, which ensures the connection between different systems, was important for the success of this project in a short amount of time.Another advantage was the release capability of our solution, which permitted the implementation of requirements within the core system parallel to the integration project.”
